Win a Free Photo Shoot with Robert Babylon at The Brighton Fetish Weekend

Brighton Fetish WeekendThe Brighton Fetish Weekend 2014 runs from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th June. Tickets are available for individual events but weekend tickets for admission to all the events are the best value at only £40.

Robert will be taking a major role at this year’s Brighton Fetish Weekend by offering a free photo shoot prize for ticket holders. One of the issues with erotic photography is that many people are reluctant to be recognised, which is a shame because the human body should be a cause for celebration. We hope that we have come up with a solution: a photo competition which doesn’t include faces.

An advance purchase of any BFW ticket entitles you to submit a kinky photo of your good self (which may be of your body only, not showing your head or face), with a view to winning the truly amazing First Prize: a professional “Body Landscapes and Abstracts” photo shoot (valued at £400) by Robert Babylon at his Hampshire studio.

How to enter: You will need to be in possession of any advance ticket for the weekend, purchased through the Tickets section of the website at http://www.brightonfetishweekend.co.uk. Once you have received your email notification from WeGotTickets, please forward that to us at bfetw@outlook.com, together with the image you would like to submit.

The judges are not looking for technical ability, or quality of image in your entry, instead we are looking for witty and erotic originality. So cameraphones, box-brownies and Hasselblads all have an equal chance of winning. It’s artistic composition not the depth of your pockets we are interested in.

The full rules and details are on the BFW Photo Competition Webpage

Robert’s work will be on show at the events during the weekend and he has provided the key image for the BFW advertising along with many other photographs.

Roberts images will be screened during the Fetish Expo on Saturday afternoon (12:00-18:00), where his work will be on sale along with that of other erotic artists and photographers.

Date: 28/06/2014
Time: 12:00 – 18:00
Event Cost: In advance £15 or £16.50 on the door

Robert Babylon at Seattle Erotic Art Festival

This year we are proud to include Robert Babylon’s erotic artwork amongst the Visual Artists whose work our jury has selected to appear in this year’s Festival

Robert Babylon at SEAF

“The Seattle Erotic Art Festival supports a vibrant creative community, promotes freedom of expression, and fosters sex-positive culture through public celebration of the arts.” -Seattle Erotic Art Festival Mission Statement

It began with a desire to showcase stunning erotic art. To create a place to celebrate, discuss and support pieces that were rarely seen in mainstream galleries and museums. We dreamed of sexy people in a lush environment devouring amazing art; of an event that joyfully encouraged people to be as open and expressive as they wanted to be. And we brought it to life.

The first Seattle Erotic Art Festival was produced in 2003 by the Sex Positive Community Center (now the Foundation for Sex Positive Culture). A jury of local artists selected hundreds of pieces of art that were enjoyed by more than 1,000 art patrons.

This year (Our 12th Anniversary) we return to the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall, an amazingly beautiful venue, where we can expand our offerings in all Festival categories of art.

Come peruse our world-class visual art gallery and shop in our museum-quality Festival Store. Admire dazzling performances and engage with interactive installations. Enjoy our erotic short film exhibition and captivating literary art. Attend enlightening lectures, workshops, and art tours. And indulge in so much more at this spectacular celebration.

The Difference Between Open and Limited Edition Prints

For those of you wondering what the difference is in a signed limited edition and an open edition, here’s the difference.:

Signed Limited Editions are printed only using the finest pigment inks, using 8-11 different colours on acid-free rag heavyweight art papers. If treated correctly will last into three figures of years. The are limited to a certain number of prints of an size on any medium, so an A3 print and a six foot high canvas would count as two editions. Earlier editions are generally cheaper and the later more expensive. They come with signed Certificates of Authenticity directly from the photographer upon proof of purchase. Bespoke commissions can be made to exact sizes and on particular materials.

Open edition prints are printed with dye based inks on normal high quality photo paper, they are not individually signed and last less long without a shift in colour tonality or contrast. They are available in smaller sizes and as posters.

A2 Posters of “The 3 UV Bums” Now Available

I have finally sourced superb quality heavyweight A2 250gsm silk posters of  “The 3 UV Bums” at a reasonable price. For £20 plus P&P (in a poster tube) you can now own your own poster of Robert’s most poular work “The 3 UV Bums”.

For The USA “The3 UV Bums” was probably not my best choice of title, perhaps the transatlantic version should be titled “The 3 Blacklight Booty”

P&P Delivery costs are £5 included to all mainland UK addresses, and for £15 for Mainland USA (whlst stocks last). Please  e-mail me about delivery to other addresses outside mainland UK / USA and I will calculate a delivery cost based on the size and weight of your order.

“Far From Grey” Exhibition at Harmony in Soho, London

After a popular “Meet the Artist” evening at Harmony’s 3rd “boutique” store at 99a Charing Cross Road Robert’s unique, beautiful and extremely sexy artwork will adorn the walls and be available for sale and to order until the end of June.

“Fancy some saucy pics to go with with your vibrator, madam?”

Tonight is sex shop Harmony’s first foray into erotic art – a ‘meet the artist evening’ with Robert Babylon at their new boutique in Charing Cross Road. The aim is to provide a little sensory stimulation to fuel your fantasies while you shop…

‘Far from Grey’ is Robert’s biggest exhibition to date. His award-winning neon art work has been featured in the likes of SkinTwo and Jade magazines and he has exhibited around the world, including a solo exhibition at the World Erotic Art Museum on South Beach, Miami. In 2012 two pieces of his work were added to the permanent collection of Dr Naomi Wilzig – the fourth largest collection of fine art erotica in the world.

So it’s great to see he’s back in Soho, which is well known for its liberal sexual attitudes, though currently having a hard time of it with police raids and closures of various massage parlours.

“Having my work and my name on display in Soho, which some might say is the original sex capital of the world, is a great plus for me. My work is designed to appeal to all genders and sexualities and I have always believed that erotica should be enjoyed by everyone. By displaying in Harmony’s Soho store I hope it will enable people unfamiliar with erotic art work to get a taste for it and offer regular visitors to Soho a chance to see something new.”

Well it would be rude not to with affordable erotic art starting at £25 and gift cards from £4.
