From 7th – 19th January I will be exhibiting my work along with other members of the Guild of Erotic Artists at the The Menier Gallery in London for an exhibition of “The Beauty of Women”. I will be there for the private views on Friday evenings and would love to see you there – particularly for the opening event on Friday 11th 18:00-20:00 (please RSVP to robert@robertbabylon.com). There will also be a “closing” Private View on Friday 18th January.

The Menier Gallery offers a dramatic space to view and exhibit works of contemporary art and design. The gallery is situated within the historic Menier Chocolate Factory, minutes from London Bridge, Borough Market and Tate Modern. The gallery is located at the heart of one of London’s artistic hubs, and attracts many visitors, including art lovers, theatregoers, local residents and tourists. The Gallery is managed by the registered charity Paintings in Hospitals, and all money raised from the hire of the gallery supports the charity’s work. By visiting the gallery you’ll be helping Paintings in Hospitals to use art and creativity to reduce sickness, anxiety and stress in UK healthcare facilities.

Located in Bankside, minutes from Borough Market and the Tate Modern. The nearest Underground and National Rail service is at London Bridge. The RV1 and 381 buses stop outside the gallery.

I will be exhibiting my work at the London Alternative Market as part of the London Fetish Weekend. My work will be on show, and for sale, along with that of John Tisbury, Gregory Brown, Paul Ballard, Mark Roberts and many other fine artists and photographers from The Guild of Erotic Artists.

Drag yourself out of bed (or cage) for Saturday’s shop till you drop at the London Alternative Market. This year the LAM will be taking over the whole of the venue and with a bar and great food available, it’s the perfect place to spend the afternoon. There will also be demos and shows throughout the day. Dress code: Street clothing acceptable but feel free to dress up! LAM offers the biggest collection of fetish, fantasy and kinky stalls in London together with workshops, shows, food and bar.

Events at the London Alternative Market include: Alex Cobra raising the roof with his whip cracking antics, the Annual Fashion Show and various workshops and displays from artists across Europe.

At 17:45 The Jade (Magazine) Erotic Arts Awards will be followed by the Guild of Erotic Artists award ceremony which together celebrate achievement in the field of the erotic arts.

From 18th-21st October I will be exhibiting my work along with other members of the Guild of Erotic Artists at the Venus Fair in Berlin. This will be the 16th Venus Fair and the interest of the media has never been bigger. Add to that Venus’ huge media coverage with TV and radio stations as well as online and printed magazines guarantees that as of October 18, 2012, Berlin will once again be the world’s epicenter of the adult industry – with the 16th Venus!.

Together with the exhibition or erotic artwork, the presence of production companies like Videorama, Magma, Eronite, Silwa, Lena Nitro and Tabu will also help to swell the ranks of the Producer & Stars Area at 16th Venus – and all visitors and fans get to whet their appetites in anticipation of the adult industry’s stars commissioned to make an appearance – also for personal photos and autographs!

From 1st. to 12th September Galerie am Brüsseler Platz presents selected art from the members of the Guild of Erotic Artists featuring the amazing UV images of Robert Babylon alongside work by the iconic modern fetish photographer John Tisbury; Gregory Brown, Paul John Ballard, Jeff Wack, Emma Horsefield, Dirk Richter, Harry Weisburd, Mark Roberts and Nora Ness amongst others.

The exhibition approach at Galerie am Brüsseler Platz recognizes both present as well as next generation artists. Ranging from better known artists to younger talents, GaMP serves as an intersection of outreach to present local and international art. Galerie am Brüsseler Platz is not a white cube on a pedestal. It´s an exhibition space which can be made available for film productions as well as photo shoots.

Since its conception in 2002, The Guild of Erotic Artists has grown in not just numbers but in stature. Already an international organisation, it is the largest erotic art organisation in the world.

The opening of my solo exhibition “Neon Lights” Miami’s World Erotic Art Museum was a great success. The event was hosted by Dr. Naomi Wilzig one of the World’s preeminent collectors of fine-art erotica. I was fortunate to be able to attend the event in the company of many friends along with both press and public to view this collection of what The Miami Huffington Post described as, “featuring photography that mixes the psychedelic with the feminine physique. Whether ropes, neon-colored fishnets or dripping latex paint, colors glow under ultraviolet lights and hug the curvature of blue models’ breasts, behinds and nether regions in a tantalizing series of images.”

The Miami New Times reported: “If there are two things South Beach does well, it’s color and skin… so it only makes sense that Robert Babylon’s exhibit “Neon Lights” would land in South Beach. A mix of retro pin-up sensibility and 1980s aesthetic, the works feature scantily clad women wearing fetishy pieces such as fishnets and tutus — all of which nearly jump off the page in fluorescent bursts… we all know the real spiritual homeland of these images is Miami Beach.”

I’m delighted to announce my solo exhibition “Neon Lights” opens on May 22nd 2012 at the World Erotic Art Museum and remains on display until the end of June.

The World Erotic Art Museum (WEAM) on Miami’s South Beach is home to the Dr. Naomi Wilzig collection of erotica, the greatest collection of fine art erotica in the U.S.  Following hot on the heels of exhibitions by Rembrandt and Tom of Finland is “Neon Lights”, my first U.S. solo exhibition featuring an eye-catching selection of my erotic UV images.
