More Art in St Albans – Photography Exhibition

More of my work is being exhibited at The Nude Tin Can Gallery in St Albans in a Photography Exhibition featuring 17 photographers.

Emotions, atmosphere, wonder and imagination captured by the lens at moments in time witnessed and recorded forever. Each exhibitor has been carefully chosen to bring a different style and subject to this photographic event.

From Rebecca Lichfield’s’ abstract black and white to the infrared landscapes by Darren Rose. The Ultraviolet erotic imagery of Robert babylon to the thought provoking conceptual figurative images created by Caroline Reed. Time captured flowers in varying states by Paul Knight to the still life food scenes reminiscent of classical art by photographer Kasia Burke.

“HIDDEN” ART Exhibition at The Nude Tin Can Gallery in St. Albans

The exhibition has started but fear not – it is not yet over and my neon painting “UV Liquid Gold” will be on display at the gallery in all it’s neon splendor for a while longer.

For all of those of you who can reach St Albans there is a chance to see one of my fluorescent Acrylic on Canvas paintings. Illuminated with UV light it glows creating a realistic experience of the original scene. My UV photography is viewed under ‘normal’ lighting while my Neon Artwork is fluorescent and is best viewed under UV light. The painting may also be viewed under ‘normal’ lighting but it takes on a whole new aspect when seen under UV lighting.

About the Exhibition:

A story within the art piece. A hidden meaning. An abstract concept. On occasion the artist is generous and reveals to the viewer the reason and meaning behind their creations…often the observer must discover and invent their own interpretation. Each piece of art will encourage the viewer to wonder and discover the narrative behind the work. A person, a place, a happening.

Six Images to be Exhibited at Rochester (NY) Erotic Arts Festival

I am also delighted to be invited back to show my work again this year at The Rochester Erotic Arts Festival (REAF) where six of my images have been accepted by the judges to be exhibited on the wall-screens at the Festival’s Electronic Exhibition.

The festival features: edgy, hot and beautiful erotic art, performances ranging from classy aerial dance to bawdy burlesque. Shopping you won’t find anywhere else! Clothing, jewellery, sex toys, classes in art, dance, and sex education for adventurous adults. Please note you must be 18 or over to attend.

Great Portfolio in Jade Magazine Issue 136

This month’s issue of Jade magazine features a large portfolio of my UV images where a grand total of twenty four images over seventeen pages are deftly supported by an excellent and extensive biography.

JADE exists to promote and foster new and established talent from the erotic art world. The ethos of the magazine is to present to a wider, mature and appreciative audience both new and established talents in the world of erotica for the pleasure and enjoyment of both men and women.

UV Reactive T-Shirts – Glow Under UV Light

Selected Robert Babylon images are now available on hand-crafted, heavyweight cotton t-shirts printed with an individually cut design, making each t-shirt unique.

The T-shirts are available in Black in sizes small to extra large and a choice of coloured designs in: Fluorescent Yellow, Fluorescent Green, Fluorescent Orange, Fluorescent Pink and White (not fluorescent). The Fluorescent colours all glow brightly under UV (neon / black light) and are great to wear at clubs and parties.

Robert Babylon Bondage Portfolio in Secret Magazine Issue 37

Five of my Shibari bondage images feature in Issue 37 of Secret Magazine.

Urban Experience Exhibition at Nude Tin Can Gallery

City life is busy, dirty, chaotic…it’s also inspiring, rich and exciting…it’s dark, gritty, it’s scary…it’s beautiful, it’s heart stopping.

My fluorescent acrylic on canvas painting “UV Liquid Gold” has been retained from the Erotica exhibition for inclusion in Nude Tin Can Gallery’s next exhibition “Urban Experience”.

The world has become more urban than rural. Populations have soared in cities since the 1950’s. Human proximity has been rising as a result of increased world population. We will be showcasing a serious collection of Modern Art influenced by modern life and/or urban living. Original paintings and other artworks that capture the expressions of urban life. People coexist amongst the bricks and mortar there are human elements to urban life and the interaction of both.

Robert Babylon at Erotica Exhibition at Nude Tin Can Gallery in St Albans

Six of Robert Babylon’s stunning UV photographs have been accepted for the Erotica Exhibition at the Nude Tin Can Gallery in St Albans.

About the Gallery:

The Art Gallery opened it’s doors in May 2015. Located in St Albans – 22 minutes from London Kings Cross & St Pancras Station and situated in this beautiful and historical City. The passion to open an art gallery in St Albans grew from the desire…not just to see original and unique artwork but to bring some of the London art scene here.

About the Exhibition:

Eroticism is wholly dependent on the viewer’s culture and personal tastes. Some may feel eroticism is an intrusion into the public realm and is something to remain private, unseen and hidden. The exhibition will exhibit a wide variation and interpretation of the Erotic theme. With a diverse talented selection of artists there will be life-size sculptures, erotic paintings, brilliant photographic work. 25 Artists are already confirmed for the exhibition.

Due to the content of this exhibition entry will be strictly over 18’s only. There may be some images that are not appropriate for immature eyes or minds.

Results of Aon ‘Peril’ 2015 Judged Exhibition

My image “Man in a Window” has been was awarded runner-up with special mention by an impressive set of leading industry judges at the Aon ‘Peril’ 2015 Exhibition.

The exhibition asked the question “What does ‘Risk’ mean to you?”, with Aon looking for the image with the most creative interpretation of ‘Risk’.
